World Cup Taiwan - Player Spotlight Commercial

Honduran Elías Argueta has been in Taiwan for 13 years. From a study-abroad student to a professional football player, Elías has slowly grown rooted in Taiwan. Having built his own family and a new career here, he felt a call to give back to Taiwan, and build a connection between his home country and Taiwan. This year, we went to a remote tribe in Hsinchu with Elías, and taught the indigenous children there how to play football. Having fallen in love with this sport, Elías sees himself in these kids, playing football no matter rain or shine; in Elías, we see his love for Taiwan like many other expats here.

This year, on Oct 8-9, we welcome you to FJU Football Field. Come witness the passion for football from 12 countries, and the love these players harbor for Taiwan.

This Double-Tenth holiday, World Cup Taiwan will be an event you will never forget!

At the venue, you will find 2 different sections:

34 nonstop games on the football field, and international food stalls and cultural performances on the food & culture court. With the snack breaks, wonderful music and dances between the games, World Cup Taiwan is a quarantine-free leap into a multicultural realm.
